How can I get involved?
Become a member! On our membership form, we ask how you would like to help. Maybe you are interested in working on the construction ... or compiling historical information... or helping plan events. Let us know! We'd love to have your participation!
What is the time frame for getting the building restored?
We are hoping that restoration can begin in 2023 and be completed by the 100th anniversary of the school. We need to secure enough funding from grants and fundraisers to be able to get started on the restoration.
What is the building space going to be used for?
The general idea is for the old school to be a museum and gathering space. We also see the property as housing a farmer's market, outdoor venue, farm to table restaurant, and center for education. We plan to show case artisans of the area as well. Restoration of the building must happen first, but then uses are flexible with changing needs and wants of the community.
